Second Annual Creative Writing Contest Winners Announced and Winning Entries
The 2021 Creative Writing Contest wrapped up on Saturday, October 23rd, with a Creative Writing Workshop with poet and short story author Justin Hamm and the public readings of the winning entries. Hamm was an encouragement to those who participated and offered networking opportunities as well as tips for publishing and continued success to all in attendance! He was impressed with the talent in our region!

High School Poetry – Faith Jarvis of Arcadia Valley High School
High School Short Story – Reese Sartori of Ste. Genevieve High School
Adult Essay – Kimberly Ramos of Farmington
Adult Poetry – Kimberly Ramos of Farmington
Adult Short Story – Bobby Upchurch of Bonne Terre

Of the six winning entries, the judges chose one overall winner. The 2021 overall winner is Kimberly Ramos with her essay titled, “Tomatoes”!
