The Most Spectacular TV Theme Song Concert in the History of the Universe

The Most Spectacular TV Theme Song Concert in the History of the Universe!

With over 22 years of the Baby Boomer Reunion Concert and 12 years of the History of Country Music under his belt, the creator/director of those musical institutions (and local crackpot), Dr. Kevin White is bringing something different to our community stage toward the end of October.

White stated, “I’m not sure if our area knows that there is a renaissance…..no, more like an explosion of the Fine Arts that has been building in our community over the past few years.  This eruption is translating into more performances, more exhibitions, more festivals, move events and more venues for which a person to choose, attend or participate throughout our region.  This is an amazing occurrence which is a wonderful bright spot and blessing to all who live here and even more so to those who might ever think of moving here.  And if that is not enough, there is an extra bonus.  The availability of high-level, Fine Arts education has grown proportionately right alongside this resurgence.”

“I thought that it would be a cool idea if we could somehow bring different aspects of as many of the Fine Arts together under one roof for an event to showcase to our community.

I don’t know exactly how it happened, but that is exactly what we will be doing at the Farmington Centene Center on Saturday evening, October 26th at 7:00 pm.”

White continued, “And what should be our theme? What would make the most sense to tie all of these outlets for creativity in a way that would be exhilarating for the participants, would crossover fluidly from artform to artform and still be a blast and entertaining for the audience to witness?”  White paused, reflected and said, “I mean, it’s painfully obvious.  You probably already know what I am going to say…….classic TV theme songs from the first 50 years of television.  I’m sure many of you came to that same conclusion.”

This evening of surprises which is delicately labeled, The Most Spectacular TV Theme Song Concert Event in the History of the World (…..make that, Universe)! occurs as stated above: Saturday evening, October 26th, 7:00 pm at The Centene Center in Farmington.  Reserved tickets are now on sale at the Farmington Civic Center or by phone: (573) 756-0900.  Tickets are $15 each. This event is produced by the Mineral Area Council on the Arts and The City of Farmington.

After being pushed (with a cattle prod) Dr. White concluded, “Please! Go get your ticket for this unique event, now.  Don’t be left at the altar while your friends tell you days later how fun it was and that you missed out on it.  This will not be a series of concerts or an annual thing, this is it!  I’ve written out so many TV theme songs in the last 2 months that I don’t know how many times I have been around that 50-year-old dial.  Did Hoss Cartwright live across the hall from Rachel and Monica?  Who shot J.R…..was it Steve Urkel?  Who got Lost in Space?  Was it the Flying Nun?  What was the name of that show that featured  Farrah Fawcett and those other 2 girls, was it Charlie’s Angels or Bosom Buddies?  Was Barney a dinosaur or an inept Deputy Sheriff?  The guy with the cool theme song who had happy accidents was that Bob Ross or Bob Newhart?   I can’t remember anymore…..just get a ticket and come to the show to find out for yourself.”
